Best Things About City

  • Nice people

Pro-Tips from Past + Current Teaching Assistants

  • Take advantage of the surrounding nature, especially the lake.
  • Be prepared to find ways to entertain yourself; there is usually a group of assistants in Thonon and Évian, but everyone's work  schedule is different, so it's important to be self-sufficient and to be able to hang out by yourself, too!
  • It can be a bit difficult to find affordable housing, so it's imperative to really search!
  • Thonon-Les-Bains is a great town with nice weather (winter is a bit cold, but not too harsh).
  • Get the Carte Jeune from SNCF to save money on train tickets during your time here.
