I'm just a California native figuring out ways to stay in France for as long as I possibly can. Or at least until the magic wears off. Which I don't think it will.

As of now, I am a returning English teaching assistant at the high school level through the TAPIF program. Over the course of last year, I was struck by how each assistant has such different experiences in their own respective work + living situations here in France.

I also noticed how similar all of our questions are just in terms of DOING life in France. So I was delighted when the idea of creating this website came to me. I couldn't think of a better way to put to use my passions of learning all there is to know about France and meeting and connecting
ith great people.

My mission with this project is to take the guesswork out of what it might be like to teach English in France.

I want to make it more transparent for all - compiling information from all corners of France where language assistants may be placed and sharing it with current and prospective teaching assistants.

I hope to collect + share stories, insights, and advice with you from past and present English teachers - making this amazing opportunity to live in France a little easier to navigate during those (inevitable) confusing times.

So. Whether you've taught in France already, or if you're only just beginning to toy with the idea of it - I'm so glad you're here!

I'm also a Squarespace website designer, and you can find me over here at Alex Morton Creative!
